Tractor History

This tractor was purchased from Dwayne Toop of Pt.Victoria, South Australia in October 2002. Dwayne had been using this tractor to launch fishing boats into the sea.

SPECIFICATIONS
ENGINE
  • Meadows Diesel, 4 cylinder vertical in-line 4 stroke-direct injection diesel, bore 4.724 in., stroke 4.724 in.
  • Engine Type: 330 MK2
  • Engine Speed 1,600 & 1,800 rpm. Compression ignition.
  • Displacement 332 cubic inch, compression ration 16:1
HORSEPOWER
  • 76 B.H.P. (1800 rpm.) at engine crankshaft
  • 69 P.T.O. H.P. (1800 rpm.).
  • 60 Max. drawbar, Max, drawbar pull 7300 pounds at 2.2 mph. on 15 x 30 tyres.
FUEL
  • Distillate. Fuel tank capacity 23.5 imp.gallons.
  • Filtration: micronic filter, three strainers and water trap.
  • Injection Equipment: Distributor type injection pump with multi-hole injectors.
COOLING
  • Water circulated through engine and radiator by centrifugal pump mounted on engine.
  • Temperature controlled by thermostat.
GOVERNOR
  • Mechanical. Controlled by either direct coupled foot pedal or hand lever
  • Foot control can be used to over-ride the hand lever setting.
ELECTRICAL
  • 12 Volt starting and lighting system.
  • Twin filament head lamps, parking lights.
TRANSMISSION
  • A three speed and reverse sliding spur gearbox mounted on the rear of the engine.
  • Coupled by a universally jointed shaft to a high, intermediate and low range gearbox mounted on the front of the differential.
  • The two gearboxes are fitted with seperate change levers.
DIFFERENTIAL
  • Bevel gear type with spiral bevel crown wheel and pinion.
  • Pinion and differential shaft bearings are taper roller.
FINAL DRIVES
  • Two extensions carry the drive from the differential to the final drives.
  • Final drives are located compactly within the rear wheels.
  • This setup results in exceptional ground clearance and permits direct brakin gon the rear axles.
TYRE AND WHEEL EQUIPMENT
  • Front - 8.25 x 20 on split cast wheels.
  • Rear - 15 x 30 on split cast wheels.
STEERING
  • Recirculating ball type steering gear.
  • Connected to front wheels by adjustable draglink and track rods fitted with ball joints.
POWER TAKE-OFF
  • Driven independant of the main clutch.
  • Seperate 8" diameter, twin plate clutch operated by an over-centering lever beside the tractor seat.
  • Splined shaft is to the A.S.A.E. standard of 1.375" 6B.
  • Shaft speed is 540 rpm. clockwise rotation (viewed from rear) at enginespeed of 1600 R.P.M.
BELT PULLEY ( Optinal Extra Equipment )
  • The pulley is mounted on the side of the P.T.O. Unit and is controlledby the P.T.O. clutch.
  • Pulley - 10.25" diameter x 7.25" wide.
  • Belt Speed - 3,100 feet per minute at 1,600 Engine rpm.
OVERALL DIMENSION
  • Length 144 in., Width 88 in., Height 63 in. ( to top of radiator ).
  • Wheel track: Front 58.5 inces, Rear 65.5 inches
  • Turning radius 15ft-3inches
  • Ground clearance: 18 inches
